The world is not a village …

LOGOThe Talmud says: “When there is unanimity and fraternity, it is because of a problem; it is always strange and it never lasts.

The hysteria phenomenon “Charlie” is already out-dated.

The French President Hollande noticed and has promptly changer his register to play out the ”Je suis Charlie” situation, which has sofar been in his favour, to increase his popularity amongst the French people. He also menaces Moscow with a war in the Ukraine!!! They must have a fun time, at the Kremlin…

The collective hysteria of all those ignorants (as Cabu would have said, and as Coco has drawn…), of all those bystanders who have never lifted the little finger to defend freedom and who, in their sudden dynamic of “saving” free speech, have often, sometimes violently, opposed those who were not Charlie… they even dared to express; those who now need to be “tracked down and treated (sic)…

Those ignorants, fuelled by such hysterias always so prompt to move the masses, so true to the mass groupings, leaving the place for neurosis, for fear of terror and for another form of panic, liberticidal more than ever: as of now, the protesters hug the policemen, new heroes of a new war – and the masses are ready for new concessions… The hypothesis of a European “Patriot Act” has already grown in the brains of some; others have not hesitated to publicly cry out their wishes, soon after applauded by masses of ignorants… Paris and Brussels both had their small “9/11” and are thinking about a remake in “French style” of its consequences. We already know one thing for sure: our democracies will suffer.

But this hysteria also changed (or worsened) the situation for the Arab and Muslim communities in the Western world – they are obliged to show a clean record and to be more Charlie than Charlie, to participate, in the streets, so all can see, in this great Western-laic mass, proving through this engagement their good citizenship and that one can be Muslim in Europe and not support the Islamic State.

We have entered with great steps into the utopia of 1984, brutally become reality, or better, Brave New World: the French Republic has pushed all citizens, in schools, at work, to declare “Je suis Charlie”, with long minutes of silence, revealing who is deviating and can be tracked down as such. Times, as always, are characterised by stupidity … and cruelty…

A dick and a pair of balls! That’s how Charlie Hebdo has put it back… and all have applauded.

– I don’t understand…

– But yes! Take your Charlie and turn it over! You will see what they have done, again, with the Prophet: peace and blessing be with him… “All is forgiven”: you’re joking! It’s obscene, like a habit. It is most of all insulting, in the current circumstances. It is more than insulting; it is humiliating: on one hand we demand of the Muslims that they clearly position themselves and, on the other hand, we hold ‘this’ in front of them… But ‘this’, is it not provocation and preaching hate? Is it not racist? Discriminatory?

Je suis Charlie in Paris, New York and Sidney … But not in Gaza, Aleppo, Alger; nor Baghdad…

And we wonder, that after all this, a young Arab Muslim from Saint-Denis asks:“Am I a citizen? The ‘whites’, ‘originally French’, do they grant me the possibility of being a citizen? Maybe not…”And he should not be surprised to catch himself thinking about whether he should support his “Islamic brothers” and join the fight of the Islamic State, by hate, by rejection of a France that rejects, through provocations, wrongly… or rightly?

When the West, in its ghettos and suburbs, is confronted to the Maghreb and the Orient…

The phenomenon “Je suis Charlie” has perfectly shown it: without any doubt, the World is not a village.
