C’était à propos de la Syrie, mais cela aurait pu m’avoir été lancé après mon premier voyage d’observation en Libye, en août 2011…
Que reste-t-il de la Libye et des grandes déclarations de soutien à la « révolution » ?
Où se sont-ils cachés, les responsables, ceux qui ont mené par la bride ce pays dans le chaos inextricable qui le ravage désormais ? Et les ténors des organes médiatiques qui les ont supportés, à grand renfort de titres ronflants ? Où sont ces chantres de l’interventionnisme occidental qui abusaient de termes qu’il ne faudrait plus galvauder par incompétence, « révolution », « démocratie », « liberté » ? On ne les entend plus.
Entre un coup d’État avorté et une insurrection islamiste en devenir, la Libye se délite aujourd’hui, déchirée par les chefs des tribus et les velléités des clans qui se partagent la dépouille de cet État « imaginé » par le colonisateur italien sur les ruines de l’Empire ottoman.
Je me souviens avoir écrit, dès après mon premier contact avec la « révolution libyenne », à propos des « démons et des ombres » de ce pays… Sur le terrain, ça crevait les yeux.

What remains of Libya and the great declarations supporting the “revolution”?
Where are those responsible, who led the country by the leash through the chaosit now finds itself in? And where are the tenors of the media who supported them, reinforced by high-flown titles? Where are the eulogists of Western interventionism, who abused terms that shouldn’t be tarnished by incompetence: “revolution”, “democracy”, “freedom”? We do not hear them any more.
Between a failed state coup and an Islamic insurrection, Libya is today split, torn apart by the tribal chiefs and the desires of the clans who share the remains of this state, “imagined” by the Italian colonisers and built on the ruins of the Ottoman Empire.
I remember writing about “demons and shadows” in this country after my first contact with the “Libyan revolution”… In the field it was obvious.

هذا ما قيل لي بشأن سوريا ولكن كان من الممكن أن يقال لي ذلك بعد أول رحلة رصد قمت بها إلى ليبيا في أغسطس/آب 2011.
ما الذي تبقى من ليبيا والإعلانات الكبرى لدعم “الثورة” ؟
أين اختبأ المسؤولون الذين قادوا لجام هذا البلد في ظل الفوضى التي تنهشه الآن والتي لا خلاص منها ؟ والأصوات الرنانة لوسائل الإعلام التي كان تدعمهم بالعناوين الفارغة ؟ أين هم قادة الجوقة الذين كانوا يرتلون بالتدخل الغربي ويستخدمون المصطلحات التي يتوجب عدم استعمالها بشكل مفرط لعدم الكفاءة مثل “ثورة” و”ديمقراطية” و”حرية” ؟ لم نعد نسمعهم.
بين انقلاب عسكري خافق وتمرد اسلامي قادم، فإن ليبيا تتحلل اليوم، منقسمة بين زعماء القبائل ومتمزقة نتيجة النزاعات العشائرية التي تسعى لتقاسم ما تبقى من هذه الدولة “التي تخيلها المستعمر الإيطالي” على أنقاض الدولة العثمانية.
أذكر أنني كنت قد كتبت بعد أول احتكاك لي مع “الثورة الليبية” كتابة بخصوص “الشياطين والظلال” في هذا البلد… فعلى أرض الواقع كان ذلك يظهر جليا.
لم تكن القبائل تقاتل في إطار وطني فهذا الأمر لم يكن موجودا في ليبيا ألا في ظل حكم الديكتاتور ولا حتى من أجل فكرة الديمقراطية.
فزعماء القبائل لم يكن همهم إلا استرجاع السيطرة على أراضيهم التقليدية، مستفيدون من انهيار السلطة في طرابلس التي جرفتها الضربات الفرنسية وبريطانية، فالقسف الذي دمر مدينة سرت قد خلف 50 ألف ضحية انتشلت من تحت الأنقاض ودفنت بشكل سري في الصحراء المجاورة
